Confidentiality
All information provided by clients or prospective clients is treated as confidential. With a few exceptions, for example information requested by a court, we would not release information to any other party without your consent.

Teaching
Teaching, course content (planning) and homework will be provided by a qualified and experienced teacher, usually Gillian Sugrue. Rise to the Top Education Limited reserves the right to change the advertised class teacher at any time.

Venues
All assessments and teaching will take place at our tuition centre: St Andrew’s Church Centre, Rogers Lane, Stoke Poges SL2 4LN. Occasionally, assessments and teaching may take place at the client’s home by prior agreement.

Group Size
Groups are usually between 3 and 8 children. Rise to the Top Education Limited reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course, prior to the start date, if it is under-subscribed. In this case, a student may choose to attend another course or to receive a full refund of fees paid.

Payment of Fees / Enrolment
The billing process will be managed by Rise to the Top Education Limited who shall send an invoice to the client as soon as a child has been registered to a specific class. A registration form and non-refundable/non-transferable payment of the course materials fee will provisionally reserve a place on your chosen course.

No formal enrolment will be processed and no student will be able to attend classes until Rise to the Top Education Limited has received either the first instalment or full course fee payment, together with a completed medical form. In the interests of the students’ well-being whilst in the teacher’s care, the centre must be informed of any medical or other conditions affecting the student. A 10% discount will only be applied when the course fee is paid in full prior to course commencement. Any sibling discount will be at the discretion of Rise to the Top Education Limited’s Director. Once payment is received your child’s place is guaranteed and you will be sent a receipt.

If any payment is not made by the due date, a charge of 5% of the outstanding instalment(s) will be levied automatically. Non-payment of any instalment may result in the student being excluded from further classes. Rise to the Top Education Limited will impose a further £35.00 administration charge on each occasion that it becomes necessary to pursue a late payment. Should the payment schedule not be met, Rise to the Top Education Limited will be entitled to end any agreement to pay by instalments, and to demand that all outstanding payments, together with the payment of the remaining balance of the total course fees, are paid in full immediately.

Should a client or their bank either fail to cancel a standing order or cease making payments, on the final payment date shown on the standing order, Rise to the Top Education Limited will deduct an administration charge of £35.00 from any refund due.

Rise to the Top Education Limited will impose a £35.00 administration charge in all cases of dishonoured cheques.

Fees may be changed and the services offered added to or withdrawn at any time. However, fees will not be varied during a course or other service in progress. At least one term’s advance notice will be given.

Cancellations / Refunds
No cancellation or refund will be possible once the term commences.

Fees will be refunded only if a written cancellation note is received before the beginning of the term. The following charges apply: £30 if cancellation note is received 14 days before the term commences, £40 if it is received between 14 days and the day before the term commences.

Fees cannot be transferred to cover payment for a course in another term.

If for any reason your child cannot attend their lesson, the lesson can be made up on another day during the same week, subject to there being a space in another class. Otherwise, that lesson cannot be retaken. In this event, clients will be sent information about what was covered during the lesson and details of any homework given. Refunds will not be issued if a student misses a lesson, but in the unlikely event that Rise to the Top Education Limited cancels a session, a refund will be issued.

In the event of a child withdrawing from the course part way through the year, the course materials fee will be retained and is non-transferable. Rise to the Top Education Limited reserves the right to levy an administration charge of £35. The balance of fees is calculated to the end of the month of the last attendance by the student. If a student is withdrawn part way through the month, full payment for that month is charged. Excess fees will be refunded.

Rise to the Top Education Limited reserves the right to cancel a course if it is under-subscribed. In this case, a student may choose to attend another course or to receive a full refund of fees paid.

Homework
Homework will be given weekly. Parents should mark all homework and comment on any difficulties a child may be having. This can then be addressed by the teacher at the start of the next lesson. Significant difficulties should be discussed via telephone consultation prior to the next lesson.

Application to Schools
It is the responsibility of parents to make applications to various schools. It is advisable for parents to visit schools of their choice on appointed open days in the Autumn term before the 11+ examinations.

Personal, Private and Public Property
All items of personal property are brought onto Rise to the Top Education Limited’s premises entirely at the owner’s risk. Rise to the Top Education Limited will not be held responsible nor accept any liability for any loss or damage to any such items, howsoever caused.

Parents or guardians will accept full liability for any damage caused by the student to premises where courses are taught. Students should be aware that they are attending Rise to the Top Education Limited’s course to study and are expected to behave responsibly at all times. Activity that could cause disturbance to other students or staff could result in instant dismissal from the course. In such case, no refund of fees will be made.

General
Rise to the Top Education Limited strive to provide the best possible service. However, we will not be held accountable or responsible for the academic success or lack thereof demonstrated by the student. Although we will do everything in our power to help skill sets improve, we can offer no guarantee thereto.
